Cited from https://zuhlmuseum.nmsu.edu/about-the-zuhls/ ''Construction of the new library has been in the planning stages for two years. New Mexico voters approved a bond to fund the facility in 1988. The new building, designed by Dean/Krueger and Associates, will be three stories tall with 90,000 square feet of space.''
