Historical context
The machine and wood lathes now number ten. The wood and iron planers, the drill pressers, threading machines, shaper, and the circular and jig saws enable the students to get a good idea of the advantages over the old methods of working wood by hand. Edited based on Swastika, Volume 2. The Civil Engineering Building was constructed in 1918 at a cost of $6,107. (Catalog, 1948) In 1921 it was used as the Wood Working Shop.
