Laying of cornerstone of the building by the Las Cruces Masonic lodge, in the presence of Governor Hagerman, Superintendent of Public Instruction Hadley, and other distinguished visitors.'' Cited from and picture used in Swastika, Volume 1, 1907, p. 102. ''Progress in the growth of every institution is marked by definite steps.
