Note on verso: The Glades Orchard Tracts. 7,000 Acres Irrigated Fruit Lands in San Juan County, New Mexico. This picture shows the water-shed of the La Plata River. This is the headgate of the La Plata ditch which irrigates the land. These mountains rise to a height nearly 14,000 feet and conserve a tremendous reservoir of water, as a result of a heavy snow, which lays in the canons sometimes to a depth of fifty feet
